| Hey everyone, yes it's been a long time i know, i should be slapped. well, i've been very busy lately, and ahvn't had much time at thome lately. Tonight after work, mike and i went to a local bar (str8 bar) for a couple of drinks with some of his close friends. at one point, i had kissed mike while we were sitting in a booth when a woman walks around the corner and makes a comment to us about how we are making a rude dislplay of affection in public. then she proceded to say, it's almost 3, it's time for you to leave. at this point we politely asked her to go to the other side of the room where she would not be bothered by us. she ducked back around the corner keeping an eye on us the whole time as we got up and slow danced. no-one else in the bar had a problem with mike and i being there together, in fact, a few peple gave us smiles from across the room and one even made a comment about us looking happy together. Even the staff at the bar seemed to enjoy our company. it was just this one woman, and her attitude there to remind us that we are in such a small closed-minded community who refuses to accept 2 men as lovers. After all, we are not asking for any type of special treatment just acceptance. Which for the most part accep[tance was granted with one exception. Actually the bar staff made sure to tell us to have a nice evening, and come again soon. So i do want to give a special thanks to the staff at Fat Katz for making us feel welcome in the establishment, and also to Tammy and her boyfriend Dave for inviting us out tonight, we did have a good time.
One final word on public displays of affection: A simple kiss is still nothing more than a kiss if it is between a man and a woman, a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. it is a symbol of caring for one another and by no means rude or vulgar. Granted, when it crosses the line of a simple kiss one may see it as bieng disturbing, but whe one who is offended does also have the ability to turn their head for that moment and not cause a scene. The act of commenting on a kiss can be even more rude than the act of kissing itself, so please, if you are offended, try to turn your head, however if it persists, and there is no way to avoid the situation, then you have a right to politely say something to those offending you, but keep in mind that when approached in the wrong mannor, they have the same right to be offended by your presence as well. So today's lesson is respect in both your actions and your words.
[sending well past due hugs to all]

| I FINALLY GOT TO SEE FINDING NEMO!!!!!!!! Mikey to9ok the movies back ant told them the copy he got wouldn't play, so they gave him a different one today. He had already seen it 4 times, but rented it just for me. We went out and grabed a couple of sandwiches from Quisnos, and curled up and watched Finding Nemo together, it was wonderful. So far, he has been nothing but sweet and kind to me. There has been absolutly no pressure whatsoever from him in any way, shape, or form, he is a true gentleman.
[hugs to all]

| This weekend was deffinately and interesting one. The date i had on last sunday ended up being very nice and conciderate. We met at Mogger's a local resturaunt and pub for lunch, had a nice conversation for about an hour and a half over lunch. I was a little nervous, but finally once the food arrived was able to relax and be a bit more myself. It was a wonderful time.
On friday Michael and i went out again, this time to Panda Garden for chinese, a resturaunt neither of us had been towe had a wonderful time again and got to know eachother a little better. This time we met over at his house, and he drove. After dinner we rented a couple of movies, Finding Nemo, and The Matrix Reloaded. We tried to watch Finding nemo, but the disk was so scratched we couldn't get past the previews, so i still havn't seen it yet, but i will when the time's right. The matrix was good, actually better than i expected. Then we flipped through the channels and found Star wars Episode 2and cuddled while we watched the last half of it, then fell asleep durring Steel magnolias, It was a Great night.
Saturday, ran around with my friend chris most of the day, then ended up watching daredevil with him, again not a bad movie, but i was expecting a bit more (of what i don't know, but more of something).
Sunday, had plans to meet my parents for lunch, so i got up early to do some things around the apt, and well......i say mike was online whenb i was checking my e-mail, so i said hi, and ended up leaving a note on my door telling my mom to call me on my cell phone when they got to my apt. Mom Dad and i went to Garfields, and looked around the mall for a bit, then went to look at the x-mas stuff over at the Apple House, we had fun. Then after visiting with "the rents" i went back to mike's for a while, he is so sweet, and puts absolutly no pressure on me to take things any further than they are right now. Actually, he was the nervous one when we were watching movies on friday (lol), at one point he was shaking so bad, i could feel the whole couch move, but today he was a lot more relaxed, and we could both really enjoy our time together.
I hope things work out well with him, he knows i'm usually only available on weekends because of my work schedule, and seems to be cool with it. We are content jsut sitting there in eachother's arms and talkng for hours, That is the part we both missed the most about being in a relationship, and am taking full advantage of our time together to do so. I'm thinking He will be someone great to keep me warm through these winter months, or if nothing else a great friend.
[hugs]

Sorry i havn't been posting like i should lately, for someone with almost no social life, things have been rather hectic lately. Since my last post, i have met with rob twice about plans for the show, spent sever hours driving around looking for good spots to take some pictures of Demonika for her portfolio were putting together(which should be fun, were supposed to take outdoor photos on sunday, and their calling for rain, lol). met a few different friends for dinner on various nights to catch eachother up on what's been going on, and had a lunch date with a guy from here in town on saturday. I will post more details, i have to be up in about 5 hours to get ready for work, so i will give everyone their goodnight hugs, and head for bed.

| ok, maybe i should clarify this whole Demonika staff thing a bit. There are no paid positions, it is all volunteer work. Being a staff member to me means i am taking part in creating the art which is Demonika. If you have looked at the pics, she is not your typical "Drag Queen", she performs "Anti-Drag". This does not mean that she is against what the drag queens are doing, she just wants to show people that you don's have to be "pretty" to be a performer, this is her true art. I actually concider her to be more of a performance artist rather than a "queen". Most of her music is actually sung by men, but she does perform as a female, and she actually puts more effort into her work than jsut putting on the clothes and makeup to lipsync a song, she spends months planning and preparing each performance (most including cast members and/or props). She is a performer to an extent of which paople in this area have not seen before, and i am honored to be a part of it. | | |
